ABOUT ABOUT

The AIA Kansas City Equity in Architecture Committee will be hosting a 9-part conversation series structured around the AIA Guides for Equitable Practice.  Each session will be facilitated by a group of local chapter volunteers, and will give participants the chance to learn about best practices and tools to bring about meaningful change to our practices and our communities in the interest of diversity and equity.

Our fourth session in this series will be held on April 20 from 4:00  to 5:00 p.m. and will cover the topic Recruitment & Retention. Talent is the lifeblood of any practice, and attracting and retaining talent is essential for the health of our profession overall. Engaging all employees in equitable and inclusive practices helps recruit and retain a diverse workforce for firms of all sizes and types. This session will be led by John Brown and Gabby Coleman of Hollis & Miller.
