ABOUT ABOUT

This will be a VIRTUAL program held on Zoom.  Log in information will be emailed to attendees two days before the program.

Join New Horizons, LLC for this program on identifying environmental issues that could affect your projects.  The program will help you understand, recognize, and identify various environmental issues on projects and the steps to take to rectify them prior to project start so they do not become an unexpected expense or cause a delay in project schedule.

The specific environmental issues discussed will include asbestos, lead-based paint, underground storage tanks, mold, PCBs, general hazardous waste, pigeon dung, soil, radon. Discussion will be on how each environmental issue can be identified, planned for, and controlled or remediated.  Regulations will also be discussed and what federal, state, and municipal entities have a hand in environmental compliance.

Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments will also be touched on; what types of situations are these assessments required or recommended for, and what exactly they include.

This program is worth 1 HSW .  You must attend the full session in order to get AIA credit.  If you leave the Zoom meeting early, no credit will be reported.
