We look forward to seeing you at our next installment of Cocktails & Conversations hosted by DRAW at their newly completed offices at 1400 W, 13th Street, in the Historic West Bottoms.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Constructed in 1892 in what is now the historic West Bottoms, the Henney Buggy Building is an exceptional example of reusing historical materials and spaces to create opportunities for sustainable and affordable development. This 24,000 sq ft project includes health and wellness-focused businesses on the first floor, artist studios on the second floor, and DRAW Architecture + Urban Design’s new headquarters on the third floor. DRAW is pushing the preconceived boundaries of historic, adaptive reuse by targeting the office’s embodied carbon and Net Zero energy goals. By creating a space that acts as a test bed for our Positive Impact Design ethos, our team has designed a light-filled space with reclaimed materials and industrial-inspired details.
ABOUT DRAW
In 2005, Dominique Davison, AIA, founded DRAW, uniting design, technology, research, community engagement, and environmental stewardship, assembling a woman-owned interdisciplinary architecture firm that creates authentic and inspired places. We listen deeply and act boldly on our client’s behalf. These core drivers translate into projects that challenge convention and incite positive change.
DRAW’s ethos of Positive Impact Design® includes elevating the urban and site context, going beyond great aesthetics to understand the cultural + social dynamics, and utilizing our radically resourceful process to design with empathy + activism.
