ABOUT THE PROJECT
Two Birds One Stone (Berkley Beer Garden) sits on a half-acre site in Berkley Riverfront Park, on the northern edge of downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Built concurrently with CPKC Stadium, the project aims to activate the park by creating a vibrant social space with stunning views of the Missouri River, while minimizing the visibility of its commercial operations within the public green space.The 8,000-square-foot building is nestled into the park's east grove, thoughtfully designed to complement the grove's unique geometry. Featuring a refined material palette, the structure includes a lower-level beer hall and covered patio, as well as an upper-level cocktail bar, Moonstone. A key highlight is the expansive beer garden extending from the beer hall, oriented toward the river and shaded by a diverse tree canopy. This feature serves as a catalyst for enhancing the park's overall green space.
