The AIA Equity in Architecture Committee will be hosting a 9-part conversation series structured around the AIA Guides for Equitable Practice. Each session will be facilitated by a group of local chapter volunteers, and will give participants the chance to learn about best practices and tools to bring about meaningful change to our practices and our communities in the interest of diversity and equity.
Our fifth session in this series will be held on May 18 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and will cover the topic Negotiation. This month we turn the equity lens to the negotiation process, exploring pathways to make sure any negotiation process is collaborative, imbued with trust and conducted in inclusive and ethical ways. This session will be led by Amy Slattery, AIA IIDA + Jesús Torres-Sosa, AIA.
