8:30 - Connectivity for the Total Building Envelope, Tremco - 1 HSW
This program will discuss the importance of connecting glazing systems to the opaque wall for a true continuous envelope, the current options available for connectivity, the limitations of various current connectivity options and how the right solution for the right application leads to a truly continuous envelope.
10:00am - North American Contractor Certification Program, Architectural Glass Institute - 1 HSW
The North American Contractor Certification (NACC) credential is based on proficiency in five components: business practices, safety, glazing processes, contract administration, and quality. By assessing all aspects of a glazing contractor’s business, the well-rounded certification process benchmarks the means and methods that drive high performance and high quality in the industry. Participants will learn about certification requirements and how those requirements help reduce the occurrence of facade failure, the specific requirements under the category Contract Administrative Processes, the specifics of the Quality Management System (QMS) requirement and about the process and importance of CAPA (correction action/preventative action) systems and how they influence positive outcomes.
11:30am- Security Glass Realities, School Guard Glass - 1 HSW
This program will provide an introduction into security glazing applications for exterior and
interior openings. This course will explain what type of events security glass is used for as well as the test methods used for determining which glass type qualifies for each event. The course will teach how these controlled environment testing procedures compare to real world scenarios.
