ABOUT ABOUT

This will be a VIRTUAL program held on Zoom.  Log in information will be emailed to attendees two days before the program.

Join Henderson Engineers for this program on architectural acoustics.

Communication is a key element to the success of virtually all spaces where people gather. Whether it is an office, a classroom, a performing arts center, or an arena, the success of the space depends on the users’ ability to clearly hear and see the event. Architectural Acoustics presentation will provide you with basic yet essential information to enhance the acoustical performance of the facilities you design.

Topics will include:
Basic acoustics fundamentals, such as the decibel (dB), frequency (Hz), and octave bands
The benefits of good acoustics, as well as the negative impact poor acoustics has on occupants of a facility.
Witness examples of three important acoustical parameters – reverberation, sound isolation, and ambient (background) noise.
The different design techniques for attaining acoustical metrics such as reverberation time, sound transmission class (STC), and Noise Criteria (NC).

This program is worth 1 HSW .  You must attend the full session in order to get AIA credit.  If you leave the Zoom meeting early, no credit will be reported.
