Green roofs have become one of the most effective ways architects can incorporate sustainable design in our work. Green roof construction practices continue to advance opening new opportunities for their use in projects. Once seen as simply a mechanism for their stormwater management and insulation capacity, green roofs have broadened their value by becoming new models for open space while improving the quality of life in our cities. This program will explore the benefits of green roofs, discuss current green roof technology and share the value they provide as open space through the work of leading architects and landscape architects.
