This presentation will explore the unique characteristics of storm water detention in the Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) district in the older areas of Kansas City, Missouri and how they impact site planning and construction costs.

Topics will include:

1. Determine the parameters that dictate detention requirements within the city of Kansas City, Missouri.

2. Differentiate between Combined Sewer Overflow vs. KC Metro APWA detention requirements.

3. Cost saving strategies for detention.

4. Cost implications associated with the method of design analysis.
